HOOKERS FOR JESUS
First and foremost I want to thank Annie Lobert the ex- sex worker for trying to reach back and make a difference in the lives of people in the game who may be looking for a way out. All praises due. Now that I got that out the way, let me take a stand for those sex workers who “get their money smiling” and don’t want no parts of orphan Annie’s reality congregation. Here’s a person claiming to do Jesus’ work while filming a reality show, uh yah! Do I hear conflict of interest?
She says that when vice would bag her she hated to be called a hooker. Is that right? Then why did you stay in the business for ten years? I know blame it on pimpin’ rah? It was all good until she nearly overdosed, then she found God. Sounds like another James Frey, the “Million Little Pieces Fraud” author who still claims he wasn’t lying. She points out the truth about how these women leave their pimps with no money or clothing or jewelry. Real hoez that fuck with pimps understand the arrangement. You know from the start that fuckin’ with a pimp is like putting money in a bank. Once you take it out, the interest is all gone.
In no way am I endorsing the pimp/hoe lifestyle. I’m not speaking for or against it. Adults do what they want to do. I’m skeptical of a former hooker turned religious zealot claiming to be bangin’ for Jesus while the camera’s roll and she magically saves souls. A lot of sex workers are in abusive situations where violence and drugs take procedure over everything. Don’t get it fucked up, in no way do those situations represent the majority.
Destiny’s house is the name of Annie Lobert’s rest haven for Hoez. I’m glad she still has love for sex workers although I suspect ulterior motives. In the long run she would “save more souls” by reaching out to the people that actually want help. A casino on a Friday night filled with gambling high rolling tricks is not an environment to persuade a sex worker away from the game. Any magical revelations done on this show is pure entertainment.
